An upcoming event in Franklin will showcase a popular breed of horse.
The Mustang Heritage Foundation is presenting the Mustang Heritage Spectacular, held at the Williamson Country Ag Expo Park. The event is a competition designed to show the trainability, versatility, and beauty of American mustangs. There are three parts to the event: the Celebrity Freestyle Challenge; the Extreme Mustang Makeover; and the Mustang Heritage Foundation Open Show.
During the Celebrity Freestyle Challenge, some of the best mustang trainers in the country will perform unique freestyle routines they have created, with a winner to be crowned.
The Extreme Mustang Makeover will enable trainers to show the progress they have made with wild mustangs over 120 training days. The horses and their trainers will take on three preliminary rounds—maneuvers, trail, and handling and conditioning. Those who earn the most points will move on to the Top 10 Freestyle Finals, with the crown of Mustang heritage Spectacular – Extreme Mustang Makeover Champion at stake, along with prizes and cash.
The third event is the Open Show, in which anyone can compete, provided they are riding a Reservation, Forest Service, or BLM-branded mustang or burro. The classes include Lead-Line, Costume, Jumping, Dressage, Freestyle, Liberty, Ranch Riding, Trail, and Pattern.
The event is scheduled for June 20 to 23. When events like this are planned, organizers can use poster printing methods to create colorful advertisements for them.
