A fun and unusual event is coming up in Franklin.
Roobeez, which is the organizer of annual farm and poultry expos throughout the country, is changing from online operations to in-person events, such as the Family Farm Expo coming up in Franklin. Most expos draw more than 3,000 attendees.
The event is for anyone who is a poultry enthusiast, including those who are experts on chicken breeds, the health of the birds, or who simply those enjoy chickens. There will be fertile eggs as well as chicks available at the event.
Workshops are an important part of these events, as they can provide valuable education. The workshops planned for Franklin include classes on beekeeping; how small farms can write grant requests; tips and tricks for keeping poultry well; and a class in scions and making plant grafts. Roobeez offers these four workshops at every expo, but they may be changed, or others added, depending on the needs of the Franklin community.
The expo also includes live music, food, farm vendors, family fun, and beer and wine. The Tap & Pour Tour gives attendees a chance to sample the products of the brewers and vintners in the local area. Family fun offerings include photo booths, a treasure hunt, face painting, and more.
The Family Farm Expo is set for June 10 at the Williamson Ag Expo Park in Franklin. When organizers plan events like these, they can use flyer printing to create handouts for attendees listing vendors and workshops.
