Acclaimed performer coming to Franklin

One of the most lauded performers currently singing is on the way to Franklin.

Sandi Patty, often called simply “The Voice,” is one of the music industry's most acclaimed performers. She has sold over ten million units, has five gold records, three platinum records, four Billboard Music Awards, and five Grammy® awards.

In 2004, she was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, named an “Indiana Living Legend” in 2007, and has released more than 30 albums in her three-decade career. She first came to public notice in 1986, when she sang the United States' national anthem at the Statue of Liberty's rededication.

Although she is best known for gospel music, Patty has moved beyond the genre in recent years, performing with various symphony orchestras across the country. She has appeared with such noted organizations as the Houston Symphony, the Baltimore Symphony, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, the Dallas Symphony, the Cincinnati Pops, the Boston Pops, and the New York Pops. In 2012, she played the title role in “Hello, Dolly!,” accompanied by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, co-starring in the production with Tony winner Gary Beach.

Sandi Patty will appear at the Franklin Theatre on March 5, at 7:00 pm. The doors will open one hour ahead of the show, at 6:00 pm. Brochure printing can be used to create attractive programs for such events.
