The annual Siouxland Renaissance Festival is returning to Sioux Falls for two days this June, marking the 13th year of this popular event.
For two days, the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds will be transformed into Shrewsbury, England in the year 1575, when Queen Elizabeth I ruled the country. There will be jousting competitions, dancers, fire-breathers, and many other performers in period costume. Entertainment will take place mainly on six stages, but roaming minstrels and others will no doubt be performing throughout the grounds.
There is also set to be beer and mead tasting, historic encampments of the time, horse rides, and a variety of children's activities. In addition, vendors will be on hand to sell Renaissance-related merchandise including clothing and artworks. Food and drink will be available for purchase too.
Vendors who wish to catch the attention of festival attendees may decide to invest in banner printing services from Sioux Falls companies. A large colorful banner can be seen for a long distance away and may attract more visitors to a booth.
The Siouxland Renaissance Festival will take place at W.H. Lyons Fairground from June 7 to 8. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children between the ages of 4 and 12; those appearing in costume will get $1 discount. For more information, call 866-489-9241.
