The Sioux Falls Zoo will hold its third Adult Night event in the Zoo Adult Night Series this September, and the theme of this night will be tailgating fun.
Also known as the Great Plains Zoo, this 45-acre attraction houses animals from all seven continents and offers up-close views of the animals, unlike many larger zoos. The zoo also hosts special events, including conservation events, private events, and afterhours events.
The Tailgate Party is a part of the Adult Night series that the zoo offers for its adult patrons to let down their hair and enjoy festivities without the kids. The event, which celebrates the “tailgating” practice of hosting a party before NFL games, will encourage attendees to come dressed in their favorite NFL or college football jerseys to show off their team spirit. Food offerings will include chili, cornbread, brats, and mushroom sliders. Drinks like Bloody Marys and spiked lemonade will also be served. There will also be live music and football-themed games.
