The Westside Recreation Center in Sioux Falls will host the Independence Day Recreation and Aquatics Program this July to offer both water- and land-based festivities to celebrate the patriotic occasion.
Westside Recreation Center is a recreational facility that serves the well-being of the community of Sioux Falls. It features indoor sports spaces, including pickleball, volleyball, and basketball courts, a fitness machine area, indoor kids’ play area, sauna, steam room, and swimming pool with slides. The Independence Day Recreation and Aquatics Program will take advantage of these spaces to provide a day of fun and celebration in honor of the country’s 250th anniversary.
Attendees will enjoy aquatic challenges and water games, like splash competitions, led by staff. Out of the water there will also be activities such as lawn games to play, relay races to compete in, and arts and crafts for the whole family to enjoy. Patriotic music will be played throughout the evening.
