The South Dakota Department of Social Services is housing three different guest speakers at the South Dakota Leads Conference.
This year’s conference is hosted by Kristi Noem, the 33rd governor of South Dakota, who has made contributions to public education reform and workplace training. Clint Pulver will address the current state of South Dakota’s women’s charity organizations as the keynote speaker.
The goal is to motivate middle and high school students, teachers, and women to advance their career paths through job shadowing. There will be three conference panels. Business card printing can enable colleagues to network with each other at such events by handing out their contact information.
The Women’s Conference includes an open registration booth, reserved for vendors and donation drop-offs. Then, a kick-off speech leads up to the Set Me Free Project – a fundraiser where guests can give away their used professional clothing, towards efforts to end child trafficking.
The Educator Conference will inspire school administrators, counselors, and teachers to take an active approach to leadership roles by building trusted relationships with their students. A speaker from Microsoft is going to identify classroom challenges with technology.
The Student Conference will encourage students in grades 7-12 to follow their dreams and find positive influences in their extracurricular activities.
Attendees should head to the Sioux Falls Convention Center if they want to listen to the panels, taking place on December 9, from 1:15 pm to 6:00 pm.
