Euphoria hitting Greenville residents with food and music
Greenville’s culinary and music/arts scene will all fuse together for one extraordinary event next month when the city’s annual euphoria festival gets underway.
This is the 14th year for the event, which brings Greenville alive with multiple events at a variety of venues to showcase local culinary and artistic talent while raising important funds for local charitable organizations.
It all started in 2006. Award-winning music star Edwin McCain, who was born in Greenville, teamed up with local restaurateur Carl Sobocinski to bring their shared passions of food and music together. It has grown into one of Greenville’s top annual activities, featuring 39 foodie-events, more than 100 top chefs and bartenders, and 15 music acts.
Tickets cost between $40 and $400, depending on how many events or how many days attendees want to eat, sip and listen. Members of The Producers Circle get some VIP perks such as customized ticket packaging, VIP seating and car service.
Euphoria is much more than food and music. Proceeds from the event go to fund local charitable organizations around Greenville – some that deal with the issues of poverty, improving education and helping children.
More than 8,800 tickets were sold year last year with an estimated economic benefit of $3.8 million, according to the euphoria website.
Lexus is the event’s main sponsor. Events like euphoria are great opportunities to advertise and increase brand awareness for sponsors and other local businesses, which can use printing services like banner printing for advertisements.
Euphoria will take place September 19 to 22, 2019, at various locations around the South Carolina communities of Greenville, Travelers Rest, Easley, and Belton.
