Member of funny family to visit Greenville

A man who is part of a family legacy of talent is bringing his newest show to Greenville to get February started.

Marlon Wayans is an actor, comedian, writer, and producer. Every Wayans sibling (there are 10 in total) is in a field relating to entertainment in some manner. Marlon Wayans started out working alongside Keenan Ivory Wayans, his older brother. A notable project of theirs was the hit show “In Living Color.”

Other popular projects Wayans was a part of include “Scary Movie,” “The Wayans Bros.,” “White Chicks,” “Bel-Air,” and “Requiem for a Dream.” He is also part of the upcoming horror movie “Him.”

When asked about working with his brothers and if having them directing him was ever an issue, Wayans quipped:

“My brothers have been telling me what to do my whole life, but at least I get paid for it now!”

Wayans also has comedy specials on multiple streaming platforms, several of which reached #1 status soon after their debuts.

The Wild Child Tour will use the Peace Concert Hall, which is a part of Greenville’s Peace Center. Tickets are purchasable through the Peace Center website and the concert hall’s box office, and range in cost between $45 and $75.

All attendees are required to be a minimum of 18 years old. Many organizers of comedy shows will select poster printing as one of their promotion techniques. The show is happening on Saturday, February 1, starting at 8:00 pm.
