A group that went through the loss of its singer is touring for the first time since with a new vocalist. A show in the first two weeks of May is taking place in Greenville.
Linkin Park started as Xero, with a lineup including Mike Shinoda, Brad “Phoenix” Delson, Rob Bourdon, Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell, and Mark Wakefield. Wakefield departed very shortly after. Chester Bennington was brought in through an industry connection, with the band rebranding to Hybrid Theory. After a deal was secured, the group changed its name once again to Linkin Park. The band’s success took off from there.
Tragically, Bennington passed away in 2017. This led to the band going quiet for a time, until 2024. That year, Emily Armstrong became the new leading vocalist of Linkin Park, with Colin Britton replacing Rob Bourdon as the drummer.
The band’s discography across both eras includes songs such as “Numb,” “One Step Closer,” “The Emptiness Machine,” “Papercut,” “Heavy Is the Crown,” and “CASTLE OF GLASS.”
The From Zero World Tour will have the performer grandson as the opener. Tickets, sold through Ticketmaster, start at $75.50 and go up to $510.50 when including VIP packages. One section is reserved for guests looking to experience the concert with individuals from Linkin Park Underground. Everyone aged 2 or older needs a ticket. Many bands will have their Logo Design printed on merchandise to sell to the audiences. The show at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena will start at 7:30pm on May 8th.
