After a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Providence Preservation Society’s annual Festival of Historic Houses will once again take place this June.
The 2022 festival will focus on homes in the historic neighborhood of College Hill immediately north of Brown University on Lloyd Avenue and Keene Street. The Society, in conjunction with the Garden Conservancy, will host a private garden tour the following day.
This year’s tour features an assortment or home styles built over several decades, beginning with the Italianate and Second Empires structures spanning from the 1850s to 1870s, and extending to post Civil War construction of Colonial revivals and whimsical Queen Annes.
