State and city leaders in Providence recently gathered to recognize the opening of the newest one-mile section of the Woonasquatucket River Greenway.
Extending from Kinsley Avenue all the way to Promenade Street, the new one-mile section provides a dedicated path for walkers, cyclists, and runners. Along the way the trail includes informative signage designed to help cyclists and pedestrians navigate the new section.
Additionally, three green spaces known as pocket parks within this latest one-mile section provide users with spots where they can connect with nature. These mini-parks are positioned just off the trail in proximity to Eagle, Hemlock, and Bath Streets.
Brochure printing services are often called upon to help civic authorities promote new programs or amenities in their city.
One of the other benefits of the new path – according to Janet Coit, the executive director of Farm Fresh Rhode Island – is how the path is able to bridge the gap between neighborhoods and connect storefronts with customers. Yet another benefit is how it was designed to improve the overall health of the river via the installation of new stormwater management systems able to capture and treat runoff, all the while supporting environmental stability.
Moreover, to encourage recreational use of the river, the new section also includes two kayak launches situated close to Eagle and Leland Streets.
