The groups receiving a share of the funds provided via the Providence American Rescue Plan Act were revealed by Mayor Jorge O. Elorza and the city’s Director of Art, Culture + Tourism (ACT), Lizzie Araujo. According to officials, the funds will be used for the building of new facilities, as well as renovations and capital repairs to existing ones.
Non-profits of both a charitable and a cultural-based nature may benefit from the assistance of a brochure printing service.
Major Elorza pointed out that these types of organizations have helped Providence become the brilliant, innovative, and beautiful city it is today. He was quoted as saying:
“Providence continues to live up to its name as the Creative Capital by recognizing the importance of the arts, and today's infrastructure investments will lay an important foundation that prioritizes the creative and cultural sector. These funds will ensure our vibrant arts and culture community continues to receive the support it needs to thrive and flourish.”
Eligibility for the funds will require applicants to present a budget explanation that will lay out how the COVID-19 situation had a negative impact on their group, their existing construction objectives, cost estimates, and, if applicable, feasibility studies. Applicants may apply for up a maximum of $750,000 worth of demonstrated need.
