For four days this month, the Dye House here in Providence will be the site of a unique interactive pop-up containing a variety of what are described as “decision-paralysis relief items.”
For those who have trouble making decisions, Ben Sisto, a Providence artist has almost 100 tools to help out. Queri items for the most part provide definitive answers. Although a few of the items are fragile and can only be operated by Queri staff, attendees are able to utilize most of the objects themselves to get answers to their questions.
Flyer printing affords an effective promotional tool for venues.
There will be a number of stations where visitors can ask their questions and receive an answer. Guests can roll dice, spin wheels, flip coins, or toss marked stones for answers. Other objects to consult include a Magic 8 Ball, risqué coins, a hand-carved Japanese woodpecker that provides its answer via sliding down a pole, and the classic Ouija board. Guests are warned that some of the items are of a PG-13 nature.
It should be noted that Queri-generated advice is for entertainment purposes only. Queri disavows responsibility for any anguish or harm resulting from acting on Queri-generated advice.
Queri Pop-up: Providence takes place October 20-23 at Dye House at 46 Dike Street. Visit the Queri website to learn more about the collection.
