October is a time of year when many northern birds start making their way to their winter homes in the south, and the Churchville Nature Center is offering the public a chance to learn more about them in Warminster.
Bill Woodroffe will be leading a group on a guided exploration of Warminster Community Park. Along the way, there will be lots of chances for those who take part to learn about the feathered friends they encounter.
This activity is scheduled to take approximately two hours, and anyone who would like to be included is asked to register ahead of time to aid the organizers in planning the occasion. The participants are reminded to bring along their binoculars and dress in clothing that will be appropriate for the weather. Waterproof footwear is also recommended.
Anyone who would like to add their name to the list of people who will be taking advantage of this opportunity to learn more about the local avian set has been asked to get in touch with the organizers at 215-443-5428. Promotional services, such as flyer printing, for an event like this can be obtained by contacting a local Print shop.
This early morning with the birds will be taking place on Saturday, October 6. The group will meet at Warminster Community Park at 7:30 am.
