Warminster to offer free tree chipping service after the holidays

Once the holidays have come and gone, Warminsiter residents who opted for a natural, live Christmas tree may be wondering what to do with it now that this piece of decor is no longer needed. The community has a plan in place, and it will give these trees a second use.

Warminster's Parks and Recreation Department will once again be offering its tree chipping program for residents. This free service is available immediately after the holidays, and there will be a designated collection point set up at Warminster Community Park (WCP) for the drop-offs.

The trees that are left will be run through a chipper, and the mulch produced will be used on local park trails. If enough people choose to take advantage of this offer, there will be plenty of wood chips for members of the public to be able to take some home so they can use them to beautiful their own yard.

Before they take their tree for chipping, residents have been asked to make sure there are no decorations, lights, wires, or stands left on it. Stationery printers can help to get the word out about this sort of initiative by preparing promotional Postcards that contain all the details and can be sent to area households.

The Warminster Tree Chipping Program will be offered from December 26 until January 31. The trees can be dropped off at Warminster Community Park, which can be found at 110 Veterans Way.
