Warminster is preparing to welcome the return of the longest running German festival hosted in Montgomery and Bucks Counties, and it will bid a fond farewell to the summer season.
Vereinigung Erzgebirge, which is located at 130 Davisville Road in Warminster, will be celebrating the area's German heritage with a day filled with traditionally themed fun. There will be activities for the younger set to enjoy, and the festival will run throughout the day until the late evening hours.
This will be the 87th year in which the Vereinigung Erzgebirge Club has welcomed the public for its Oktoberfest, and the agenda will continue the tradition of family-friendly fun. There will be German music playing during the day. Once the sun goes down, it will shift to rock and roll. Food, beer, and other refreshments may be purchased, and soccer games and a keg tapping ceremony are in the works. Kids can visit the bounce house and other stations set up for them, and tickets for the occasion start at $7 for those age 16 and up. Younger guests may enter free of charge.
An Oktoberfest other themed event can require special decor. A banner printing company will be able to help, and can offer an assortment of budget-friendly choices.
The 2024 Vereinigung Erzgebirge Oktoberfest will run from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm on Saturday, September 7. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door.
