Warminster kids to discover fun of physics

Discovering the STEAM subjects is about to get a lot more fun for Warminster kids, thanks to a session that will introduce some of the basics principles of physics.

The Fab Lab Center offers the public various opportunities to learn and have fun doing so, and it will see kids use their own creativity to construct candy catapults. It is for students in Grades 1 through 8, and admission to be part of the morning is $40.

Along with the materials needed to construct their launchers, the attendees will receive instruction and assistance from the fully trained staff. The event has a runtime of two and a half hours, and there will be a friendly competition among the registrants to find out who can fling their candy the furthest.

Each child who gets involved in the activity will go home with handouts, as well as a T-shirt with a special graphic design. The session will begin at 9:00 am, and only a set number of spaces are available, so early booking is advised.

The Fab Lab in Warminster will be offering this fun introduction to the basics of physics on January 21. Scholarships may be available for families that are in financial need, and questions about this or the session itself can be directed to the organizers at FabLab@BucksIU.org.
