Warminster invited to local community garden party

A potluck picnic in the garden is set to go ahead near Warminster, and it will celebrate the end of the summer horticultural season.

The John Paul Endicott Community Garden, which is located at Temple University in Ambler, offers the community a variety of ways to get involved in horticulture, and throughout the growing season it hosts an assortment of volunteer days. It has planned a harvest celebration for September, and it will be one last time for these helpers to come together to gather the bounty and help prepare the beds for winter.

Local horticulture experts will be on hand to share tips and advice that the participants will be able to use in their own plantings, and along with performing other tasks, they will weed and harvest the fruits and vegetables. Once the chores are done, the group will be welcome to linger and enjoy a potluck picnic, with any of the excess harvest being donated to area food pantries.

Hosting an activity like this is one way an organization can recognize the hard work its volunteers have undertaken. A printer can prepare moderately priced Corporate Gifts to distribute to these helpers as well.

The End of Season Garden Picnic will wrap up 2021 for this community garden on September 19th. It will start at 4:00 pm, and will be held at 580 Meetinghouse Road in Ambler.
