Warminster residents who want to show support to the area's veterans will be able to do so when they take part in a local race this June.
The Wounded Hero 5K, which is a USATF Sanctioned Event, is set to return to the community, and it will be a day filled with inspiration and motivation. Intended to raise awareness of both the physical and mental health burdens carried by many veterans, there will be 5K and one-mile walks, and a kids’ fun run as well.
The day will open with the 5K, and the price for this is $35 plus a sign-up fee. The fees are the same for the one-mile walk or virtual race option, and kids can take part in their race for $20. Event packets will be made available ahead of the function, and these will be filled with documents, Corporate Gifts, and other items.
The organizers noted that they are pleased to announce a new addition to this year's line-up. A car show is on the agenda, and the entry fee for a vehicle is $20. The proceeds from the day, as well as the sale of the Promotional Products prepared for the occasion, will be donated to Operation Ward 57’s Honor and Courage Program.
The 2021 Wounded Warrior Run will welcome the public on June 19. Warminster Community Park will be providing space for the activity.
