Warminster young people who have always wanted to learn more about the role firefighters play in their community will soon be able to do so thanks to a program on offer at the Hartsville Fire Station.
The fire stations in Warwick, Warminster and Warrington Townships have joined forces to host a Firefighter Cadet Camp, and it’s suitable for those age 14 and up. It will be a hands-on program, and the participants will gain self-confidence while learning a variety of firefighting skills.
The youth in the initiative will be taught carries and packing, hose rolls, how to use the deluge water gun, the proper use of fire hydrants and extinguishers, pump connections, and how and when to utilize self-contained breathing apparatus and other equipment. Both individual and team projects will be undertaken, and four sessions are on the agenda.
This type of camp often appeals to young people who like excitement and helping others . Tee shirts, certificates of completion and other Promotional Products that help to make an activity like this feel complete will be available at local Print companies.
The Firefighter Cadet Camp will be on offer starting on July 7th, and it will be held week until July 28th. Each session will run from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm, and those who are interested can contact the organizers at 215-672-9242 or President93@hartsvillefc.org.
