A seminar that has been planned for Warminster will provide an in-depth exploration of the subject of memory and age.
Representatives of Pine Run Lakeview Associates will be discussing an assortment of topics related to brain health and memory in older adults. They will talk about the differences between the early warning Signs of dementia and simple forgetfulness, and there will also be a mental exercise that the organizers say will be fun while helping to keep the players’ brains healthy and in top form.
The relationship between nutrition and cognition will also be addressed, and registered dietician Linda Brophy will be on hand to provide tips and advice in this area.
As only a limited number of seats will be available for this workshop, those who are interested in participating are asked to register ahead of time to both hold their seat and aid in planning the event. Along with learning more about memory, those who attend will also have time to socialize with one another and build new friendships. A local printing services provider will be able to supply workbooks and other materials for those who take part in an event like this.
This seminar, which is dedicated to keeping the aging brain healthy, will be held on September 5 in the Ben Wilson Senior Activity Center. More information has been made available on the Doylestown website.
