Warminster class introduces microgreens to home growers

Microgreens can be healthful and fun to grow, and a Warminster workshop will teach the basics of the craft.

The Won Institute Herb Club will be teaming up with Solrog Farms to offer a two-hour-long introduction to growing microgreens. Food plants such as alfalfa, chia radish, and sunflower seeds are often grown in this way to use as sprouts, and these may all be discussed during the session.

The attendees will find out how easy it can be to grow microgreens in sunny windows or on their kitchen counter, and they will discover the different species and how they can be used. Everyone will be invited to purchase a kit of supplies if they wish, and the location for the workshop will be 800 Jacksonville Road. The session is slated to take place in the afternoon, and anyone with questions can contact the host at carol.goldman@woninstitute.edu.

The online listing for the class explained that while walk-ins may be able to be accommodated, advance registration will be appreciated. Tip sheets, printed instructions, and recipe cards for an activity like this can all be prepared by Stationery printers that can perform custom graphic design work.

This instruction to microgreens for aspiring home growers will begin at 1:00 pm. The session is scheduled to continue on until 3:00 pm. Online registration is now available.
