Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease that, while relatively rare, can take a real toll on the individuals who live with it. The Scleroderma Foundation of Delaware Valley is helping to seek a cure, and a Warminster area run and walk will support its efforts.
This 5K event will be taking place in Calfont’s Lower Nike Park, and it will be focused on raising both money for the cause and awareness of this condition. The whole family can participate, and the registrants can choose to challenge themselves to complete the course as quickly as they can, or take it easier and enjoy a relaxed place stroll.
Once all of the runners and walkers have completed the course, awards will be distributed. The top three female and male finishers will be recognized, and all the people who came out to help make the function a success will also receive a huge thank you for their support. Each person who Signs up will receive a T-shirt that sports the run and walk’s Logo Design, and prize draws, refreshments, and other activities will all be on offer.
Sunday, June 14 has been chosen to be the date for this community fundraiser, and the check-in station will be open at 9:00 am. The registration fee starts at $25, but this will increase as the date for the function draws closer.
