Warminster asked to help smash mental illness stigma

The organizers of an upcoming Warminster event are keeping their fingers crossed for some good October weather, as this is when they will be hosting the NAMI Bucks County Stride for Mental Health Awareness.

This annual fundraiser, which will be taking place in Warminster Community Park, will see community members join together to show support for those living with a mental illness. As many as one in five Americans are dealing with this issue, meaning this activity can make a real impact in many people's lives.

The organization will be joining others around the world that celebrate World Mental Health Day, and the plans for Warminster include an awareness-raising walk, as well as food, coffee and soft drinks, desserts and other treats, balloon artists, face painting, and a photo booth. A live DJ will keep everyone entertained and a dunk tank will put the crowd’s pitching skills to the test. Costumed characters will be circulating among the crowd, and state officials will address the attendees.

When raising awareness, it can make sense to reach out to a printing services company well ahead of time. It will be able to offer a wide selection of Promotional Products, and these may be tailored to a specific event by including its Logo Design.

The 5km Stride for Mental Health Awareness will welcome all on Sunday, October 10. Sponsorships may still be on offer, and any interested company representatives are asked to contact the planners through its virtual listing.
