Warminster area historic site to host to holiday market

Moland House Historic Park, which just outside of Warminster, will soon be playing host to a holiday market that will offer something for everyone on people’s gift shopping lists.

The work of more than 60 crafters from the local area will be brought together, all under one roof, for members of the public to browse through. Everything from home décor to jewellery, pottery, textiles, woodworking, primitives, giftware, and many other items will all be on offer, as will seasonal floral displays. Shoppers can take their time and relax as they shop, and there will be other activities to enjoy as well.

The grounds of the house will be open for visitors to stroll through, and the organizers noted that the site was once used as a headquarters by George Washington. On selected days, guided tours of the location will be given, and all are welcome to come and learn more about their local history.

The inventory in the market will be restocked each day, and major credit cards will be accepted. The proceeds from this function will be used to help fund the initiatives of the Moland House Restoration project. Labels, Packaging supplies, business Forms, and other materials that can help to ensure this type of event is a success can be supplied by an area printer.

The market, tours and other activities will start tomorrow, November 24, and they will take place until December 2. More details are available on the Crafts at Moland House’s Facebook page.
