When choosing plants for their garden, Warminster’s savvy gardeners know that there are a lot of benefits to selecting native species. A tour has been planned that will visit several area properties that are making the transition from introduced varieties to natives, all of which have volunteered to open their gates for the occasion.
This will be the fourth year for the annual ‘Designed for Nature’ garden tour, and it promises to be a day that is both inspiring and informative. The goal is for each of the attendees to leave with a better appreciation for native plants and how they can easily be incorporated into almost any landscape design.
The participants in the tour will see six different approaches to a garden. These will range from flower beds to veggie patches, and foundation plantings, bird, bee and butterfly gardens, creating a meadow and choosing for curb appeal will all be included as well.
Tickets for this opportunity to get a sneak peek into some of the area’s top home gardens are $10 each, and they can be purchased up until the day of the event. Maps of the route and tickets will be available for pick up in Doylestown, and these are just some of the items that can be prepared for an organized outing like this by Stationery printers.
June 15 has been set for this outing, which has been planned with green thumbs in mind. It is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am.
