The township of Warminster invites one and all to join in the fun of its upcoming 21st annual Rubber Ducky Regatta.
The race will see hundreds of these bright yellow birds take to Neshaminy Creek. The first four to pass the finish line will be the winners of a cash prize.
Prior to the regatta, there will be a picnic for families of all those who take part. People are invited to pack a lunch and blanket to sit on while they socialize and meet and greet their fellow community members. Dessert will be provided to the crowd, courtesy of Rita’s Water, Perkins and A-1 Pest Control. Flyers can be used to help promote the race and picnic throughout the area, ensuring that as many people as possible now about it and will want to take part.
The event is being sponsored by the Township of Warminster’s Department of Parks and Recreation and Citadel. Tickets for rubber duckies are available at a price of five ducks for $20. They can be purchased online, at the Parks and Recreation office, the Library or the Township Building. The prize for first place will be $200, second place $150, third place $100, and fourth will be awarded $50.
