St. Patrick’s Day has been known to bring out the Irish in everyone, and this March, residents of the Warminster area will be donning their favorite green running gear and hitting the pavement.
The Newtown Shamrock Shuffle will include everything people have come to expect during a run, but it will also offer some extras as well. After the race, the runners will be welcome to keep the fun going in a party that will be hosted by Green Parrot.
While the event is open to all, the organizers have asked anyone who registers to be able to maintain a pace of 20 minutes per mile. The time allotted to complete the course is 60 minutes, and the start time will be 9:00 am.
After the physically active part of the day is over, the participants can head to Green Parrot for a complimentary beverage, as well as a continental breakfast. They will also be given a wristband granting them free entry to the venue throughout the day and into the night.
All ages are welcome to register, but only those who are age 21 and over will be permitted to consume alcohol during the after party. Banners, race bibs, T-Shirts, wristbands, and many other items for this type of activity can be sourced from a local printing services company.
March 16 will see the runners lining up for this friendly competition. The fee to participate is $55.
