PeaceLove prepares to sponsor health event

An organization located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island is getting ready to back a mental health speech day in May.

A series of speakers will deliver presentations at the May event. The big day will be hosted at the studio in Hope Artiste Village. Former NBA star Chris Herren will add a touch of celebrity to the occasion.

PeaceLove was co-founded by Jeffrey Sparr, who has been affected by obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) for many years. He has found that certain activities help him cope with his potentially debilitating condition.

The core idea of PeaceLove is that people can find some peace from their health issues by engaging in art. The individuals behind the project have created an environment intended to be welcoming. If they want to market their venture further, they could use a Print company in Warwick.

Mr. Sparr has told The Providence Journal:

“I was stressed out and fighting my illness like any normal day, when someone told me that painting might be good for me. I had never painted a day in my life, but when you’re desperate, you try anything.”

The participants in the scheme are taught that making mistakes is not a problem, which permits their creativity to develop.

PeaceLove has entered into a partnership with a design charity. This allowed it to share in the profits generated by the sale of approximately 60,000 bangles.
