New medical institute created

The Institute for Transformative Medicine (ITM) has been established by the Temple University Health System (TUHS) in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Larry Kaiser, the current chief executive of TUHS, has stated that the core mission of the institute is to unite different parts of the research infrastructure. This move should facilitate the pursuit of evidence-based research. Stationery printing from Warminster could be used to help with the presentation of the new organizational structure. The ITM will be headed by Dr. Ralph Horowitz and he has said:

“Our goal for the institute is to develop a world class program of research and implementation that continuously improves the effectiveness and efficiency of care.”

Dr. Horowitz has had plenty of experience in the sector prior to taking up the post. He has worked for two major universities at a senior level. In addition, he has been employed as an executive by GlaxoSmithKline. When he worked for the multinational pharmaceutical corporation, Dr. Horowitz was involved in the field of clinical evaluation.

It has been revealed that the institute will cooperate with another part of Temple University, the Temple Center for Population Health. One idea behind this strategy has been fleshed out and the policy will be to improve research on population health. It has been stated that the aim will be to focus activity on underserved communities. In addition, it has been explained that efforts to benefit from technological expertise will be made.
