Kids in and around Warminster can bundle up and enjoy a nature-filled day to finish off January.
The Churchville Park and Nature Center is hosting a ‘Winter Fun Day’, allowing participants to enjoy a leisurely walk along the trails and then come back for hot chocolate.
The program is designated for kids between the ages of six and 13. In addition, registration costs $4 per child and can be completed on the Churchville website.
The nature center is dedicated to education and preservation. It offers hands-on programs for students in grades K through 12, along with summer camps and birthday parties. The establishment also has a historical Native American area called the Lenape Village. In the summer to the early fall, guests can visit the Butterfly House.
Preservation efforts include wildlife counts, herpetological inventory, and removal of invasive plants that are not native to the area. Becoming a member or acting as a volunteer are ways individuals can help with conservation efforts.
With all of the programs the establishment has to offer, the nature center has no doubt utilized brochure printers to make colorful trifold handouts. Brochures could be placed near the nature center’s entrance for visitors to look at or take home.
It all takes place on January 31 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am. The Churchville Park and Nature Center is located at 501 Churchville Lane.
