A specialized private school based in Warminster has received a funding boost from a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit group.
The ATG Learning Academy, located on Louis Drive, is being awarded the cash in the form of a Bucks Innovation and Improvement Grant from the Foundations Community Partnership, which is handing out $100,000 in grants to a number of organizations across the county.
The school has confirmed that it will put the funds towards its ATG Together program – a social, interactive initiative that focuses on offering sports and hobby clubs to 50 special needs youngsters. The clubs provided cover a range of interests, from gardening and basketball to chess and theater.
ATG Learning Academy is not the only local organisation to benefit from the Foundations Community Partnership’s funding; the Warminster-based Christ’s Home for Children is to receive a portion of the nonprofit’s $60,000 Capital Grant cash, and will use the money to buy a new van that will safely transport clients to appointments and activities.
The Foundations Community Partnership is also distributing a $50,000 Target Funding Grant.
Just how much of the $100,000 Bucks Innovation and Improvement Grant total was received by each of the programs and organizations has not been disclosed by the local media. However, each of the beneficiaries could advertise new facilities or services, made possible by the funding, through services such as flyer and banner printing.
