The American Legion Post 798 in Warminster serves the needs of those who served their country, and it has extended an invitation to one and all to support one of its activities.
The Post will be running a food drive this September, and it will take place rain or shine. Both monetary contributions and gifts in kind such as canned goods and gift cards will all be appreciated.
Those who would like to lend a hand with the project can drop off their donations at the collection point. It is been requested that they be non-perishable, and canned and boxed foods such as tuna and soups, personal care products, toiletries, diapers, and bottled items are all in high demand. They will be gathered and then delivered to the Willow Grove 111th Fighter Wing FRG, which will pass them along to veterans and their families in need.
A food drive gives a community an easy way to make a difference. Materials prepared by a poster printing company can be effective tools in helping to spread the word about community service projects.
The American Legion Post 798 has made plans to run its food drive this year on Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24. Items can be dropped off between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm on either day. The location can be found at 743 County Line Road in Warminster.
