Family friendly event returns to Warminster

The 19th annual Rubber Ducky Regatta and Just Ducky picnic is taking place in Warminster this May.

A presentation of the Parks and Recreation Department and Freedom Credit Union, participants in the regatta will be able to purchase a duck for $5 or five for $20. Each duck will be numbered, floated down Neshaminy Creek, and then retrieved at the finish lines by duck marshals. Cash prizes totaling $500 are up for grabs for the top four finishers, and winners do not need to be there in person.

Families can bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after the race, and dessert will be supplied free of charge by Rita's Water Ice. After that, there will be family-friendly games and activities for all to enjoy.

Organizers might be considering investing in services such as banner printing from Warminster companies. Banners are often used to highlight starting and finish lines in races such as this one. They may also choose to have Flyers made to help spread the word about the event throughout the community and to encourage more residents to turn out.

The Rubber Ducky Regatta and Just Ducky Picnic will be held at Kemper Park on May 18, beginning at 12:30 pm. Admission is free. To learn more about this event, contact the Warminster Parks and Recreation Department at 215-443-5428.
