Arts and crafts enthusiasts will want to plan next month’s schedule accordingly, as a stained glass class is making a stop in the Hanover area.
The Make Your Own Owl stained glass class is scheduled to begin in a few weeks, and artists of all ages and experience levels are invited to learn the skills necessary to create stained glass items and ornaments.
The course will be hosted by talented and experienced instructors who will take attendees through each step of the process. Instructors will demonstrate how to solder metal pieces, cut and shape glass, and add the finishing touches to the piece. The hands-on learning experience provides the finished piece for guests to take home and display.
Participants are advised to wear closed shoes for protection, in the event of dropped glass. Appropriate clothing is recommended, as attendees will get wet when cutting and shaping the glass for the owl. All participants must wear eye protection to move forward with the crafting experience. Brochure printing is an excellent way to outline the crafting steps for students to take home.
Glass Turtle Studio will host the course, which is scheduled for Saturday, February 17th. The event will begin at noon and continue until 3:00pm. General admission costs $65, and interested parties can reserve a spot in the crafting course online.
