Hanover residents Deanna and Tom Simpson claim to have been living in a haunted house for the past seven years, and its story will be explored in a TV show set to be broadcast this month.
The Simpsons say that a number of eerie occurrences in the house, from doors that mysteriously closed on their own to the sounds of crying coming from seemingly empty rooms, caused the couple to seek out the help of Amy Allan and Steve DiSchiavi, the hosts of ‘The Dead Files’, a reality show airing on the Travel Channel.
DiSchiavi is a former detective while Allan is a medium. The pair spent eight days at the house and in Hanover filming. DiSchiavi spent most of his time there researching the property's past and speaking with local historians. Allan conducted a walk-through of the house on the final day and claims to have uncovered some alarming things, including the presence of several ghosts.
Allan provided the Simpsons with instructions to cleanse the house, which they followed. Further details about the home and its supposed haunting will be revealed when the episode airs.
The episode featuring their home is scheduled to air on July 26 at 10:00 pm on the channel. The couple could use the services of a local printing company to let friends and others know about the program.
