The restaurant revealed a new menu last Friday, November 10. At the same time, it also started to keep its kitchen open later.
One of the new additions to the menu is wings, which are served a choice of eight sauces. The sauces available include two dry-rubs and six wet sauces, such as yogurt dipping sauce for curry wings.
To help with the newly revamped menu, the hotel brought on a new chef, Heath Pierce. Pierce will work alongside chef Brenda Rutledge, who has been working at the hotel for almost 30 years.
Restaurants that redo their Menus sometimes use Mailing services to let locals know about the changes. Tom Hufnagle, the owner of the Hotel Hanover, is hoping that the new changes to the menu and the new hours will change the perception residents have of the Hotel. Talking to the Evening Sun, he admits:
“There is a misconception about The Hotel, like, 'I don't know about that place'. It's thought of as rough or kinda old school. But it's a Hanover gem.”
As part of its expanded hours, the hotel will now serve food from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm Mondays through Wednesdays, from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm Thursdays and Fridays, from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Saturdays and from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm on Sundays.
