Hanover to hold Trop Rock benefit concert

The Harbor Hill House Concert Spot in Hanover will be holding a concert in July to benefit Danny Rosado.

Pirates of the Potomac is an event where people can support local musicians while listening to live music. Several performers will be at the fundraiser, including Boomer Blake, Carl Page, and the Corned Beef and Curry Band. Barbeque plates, cupcakes, and beverages can be purchased during the concert. The event will also have multiple raffles and giveaways of signed merchandise from notable Trop Rock artists.

The fundraiser is organized by the Trop Rock Music Association (TRMA) Artist’s Relief Foundation. The group began in 2005 with the mission of promoting the Trop Rock music genre. Mark Friedman is the president of the organization and has been involved with the genre for over 20 years. People can become a member of the TRMA for $15 per year. Groups like this may market their activities to their members by using flyer printing services.

The concert will be held on July 17th from noon to 9:00 pm. Those who attend the event are asked to donate $25 at the door. Guests should bring their own blanket and chairs to view the performances. The nearby Hampton Inn Hanover will be reserving a block of rooms for the event. Those interested in becoming part of the TRMA can apply on the group’s website.
