An Elvis Presley cover band will be performing in February at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center in Hanover.
Fans of “The King” can attend the Elvis Tribute event to see a professional cover artist sing his greatest hits. Cody Ray Slaughter will be taking on the role of Elvis during the show. Slaughter is a singer from Harrison, Arkansas, who has earned several awards for his portrayal of the iconic performer, such as the Heart of the King Horizon Award. He also won Graceland's Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Slaughter has even performed on the Late Night with David Letterman.
The music for the evening will be provided by the Spin-Outs Tribute Band. The professional five-person group consists of Vonita Townes, Dean Honeycutt, Michael Park, Garry Gontz, and Robbie Mason. The tribute band can cover many of Elvis' hits, including Blue Suede Shoes, I Can't Help Falling in Love, and Jailhouse Rock. The group has also worked with artists such as Bill Cherry, Patrick Johnson, and Ryan Pelton. Gontz is the manager of the Spin-Outs.
The cover concert will be held on Saturday, February 26 at 3:00 pm. Tickets for orchestra seating will cost people $35, while preferred seating can be bought for $39. Organizers for tribute shows like this may use flyer printing to share the concert with the community.
