The Hanover Chamber of Commerce in Pennsylvania will be celebrating the 36th Annual Hanover Dutch Festival in Downtown Hanover shortly.
The Hanover Dutch Festival was founded as a way of promoting pride in the community’s Dutch Heritage. The town initially consisted of a large number of German immigrants from Germany’s Rhineland and Palatine districts, earning the name Hanover after the German city the region resembles. This year, event organizers estimate that over 10,000 visitors will show up and join in the festivities.
Guests who attend the festival can check out the many food and handmade crafts vendors participating in the event. Those who wish to apply as a vendor for the Hanover Dutch Festival can send their application through the Hanover Chamber of Commerce website, though all goods sold at the stand must be handmade by the vendor. Artists who join festivals like this can use banner printing services to create highly-visible Signs that gain the attention of eventgoers.
The festival will be held on Saturday, July 27 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. There is no fee to enter into the event, though attendees can bring money to buy food and items from onsite vendors. There will be free transportation services provided by the local chamber to the festival available at Ollies’ parking lot and the Tractor Supply Company.
