Utz Quality Foods, WellSpan Health, and the city of Hanover will be partnering together to organize a run and fundraiser in October.
The Snack Town RunFest is a chip-timed activity made for those of all running skill levels. People will compete for awards, though all RunFest participants will receive custom finisher medals. Attendees can also get commemorative Apparel at the race if they register in advance and will receive a goody bag. Once the races are done, runners can head to the Beer Bash on George to partake in the post-event celebration.
The proceeds from the running festival will go to the Livestrong at the YMCA, which is a free program offered by the YMCA that helps cancer survivors regain their physical and emotional strength. The program lasts for 12 weeks and provides individual attention to each participant. Each person is given free or low-cost exercise regimens by instructors who are trained in cancer survivorship and supportive cancer care.
The Snack Town RunFest will be held on October 1st at the Hanover Area YMCA. Packets for the event may be picked up from 6:30 am to 7:15 am on the day of the races. People may also get their packets the day before at the YMCA from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Organizations in charge of running activities like this may use banner printing to promote their festivals to locals.
