Hanover rock festival to raise money for community

A rock music festival organized by the Hanover Area Jaycees will be returning to the Pleasant Hill Fire Co. in May.

The Rock on the Hill Music Festival is a fundraiser where people can help the Hanover Area Jaycees give back to the community while enjoying live music. This year, the performers on the main stage include Six Whiskey Revival, Sponge, and Wild Planes. There will also be a secondary stage at the venue’s pavilion that will feature music from performers like Alex Warner and Faith Noel. Attendees will get to hear from more than 15 bands throughout the fundraiser.

Guests can purchase food from several trucks at the event, including Dough & Arrows, The Pretzel Lady, and G’s Fresh Oven. People may buy alcohol from vendors such as the Fat Bat Brewing Company and Aldus Brewing Company. Eventgoers can also join a cornhole contest held by York Street Baggerz Cornhole. The first-place prize in the competition is $500, while the second-place prize is $150.

The concert and fundraiser will be on Saturday, May 13 from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm. Tickets to the festival will cost $20 per person, though children 12 and under may attend for free. The price of admission will increase on the day of the music fest. Groups that promote special events like this may use banner printing to help advertise their concerts.
