The Markets of Hanover will be giving a seminar in January on how people can create layers of safety in their lives.
Refuse To Be A Victim is a nationally recognized presentation. During the course, attendees are given helpful advice on how to protect themselves and their families from various Forms of crime. Guests will learn about the psychology of criminals and mental preparedness. Other topics include tips on phone security, travel security, and technological security. Organizations offering lessons like this to the community can use brochure printing to provide visitors with take-home packets of information.
The seminar will be given by Sheriff Richard P. Keuerleber, who was first appointed as a Deputy Sheriff under Sheriff Oliver Nace in 1988 and had 12 years of experience as an Assistant Chief Deputy. He has also taken classes at Millersville University, Temple University, and the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Keuerleber even took a terrorism preparation course at Saint Petersburg Junior College.
The safety seminar will occur on January 22 from 8:00 am to noon. The program is open to anybody and will not cost money to join, though advanced registration is mandatory to attend Keuerleber’s course. Those who wish to register for the lesson must send an email to the Community Services Division at smmartz@yorkcountypa.gov or dmgodfrey@yorkcountypa.gov.
