Hanover hosts egg hunts

The area around Hanover will host several egg hunts this month.

Although many are designed for kids, a few are meant for man's best friend. The majority of the hunts will take place either the weekend before Easter or the day before the holiday. Organizations that are putting together egg hunts can use poster printing to spread the word.

On March 24, the West Manheim Recreation Park will host ‘Paws in the Park’, an egg hunt designed for dogs. The fun begins at 10:30 am. Meanwhile, the recreation park will host an egg hunt for humans, starting at 9:00 am. Different events will be available for different age groups: 2-4, 5-7, and 8-10.

Also on March 24, the Hanover YMCA will host an underwater egg hunt from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. The cost is $5 per child and the first 150 children will receive a free prize bag. The event is open to children up through the age of 12.

The next weekend, Moul Field will host an egg hunt starting at 2:00 pm on March 31 for children from the ages of two through 10. A separate egg hunt for children with special needs will start at 12:30 pm.

Over in Gettysburg, the Lodges at Gettysburg will have an egg hunt, egg rolling contest and egg decorating, starting at 11:00 am on March 31. The program to kids under the age of 13.
