The parking lot of South Western High School recently played host to Hanover’s Night Out celebration, , which brought people from all over the community together to get to know their neighbors better in a spirit of fun.
The event, which is intended to allow residents of the area to get to know their local police, firefighters, and other first responders on a more personal level, was well attended.
Members of these departments were on hand to meet with the public, and there were also representatives of local service organizations as well. Vendors were invited to set up displays, and each was asked to host a game that gave away back to school items as prizes for the kids who played them. One of the activities that were offered to the children who came out was a chance to dress up in a police uniform, including the tactical Vests and helmets.
