Hanover glass studio to offer class

The Glass Turtle Studio in Hanover will hold an art class in November where people can create glass stars.

“Make Your Own 3D-Stained Glass Star” is a program where people can learn the basics of stained glass art from a professional artist. The course is part of the Stained Glass Classes series, which includes lessons like Make Your Own Mushroom and Make Your Own Cardinal. No experience is required to take part in the program. Students are asked to wear closed-toe shoes in the studio, and all participants must be at least 18 to register for the course.

The Glass Turtle Studio is a business started by Colleen Webb selling stained glass and offers art workshops. Webb studied at the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, and her works have been sold at local businesses like The Artful Nest and The Gettysburg Olive Oil Company. She has also partnered with other stores like Fine Games Of War. Her classes teach students how to make Tiffany-style glass art.

The workshop will be on Sunday, November 12th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The cost to join the class is $65 per person. The price includes all necessary materials and tools for the glass art. No refunds are available for the program. Art studios that put together classes like this may use poster printing to let local consumers know about their upcoming workshops.
