Clothes shopping and going to the gym are usually seen as mutually exclusive activities, but later this month, Hanover residents will have the chance to do both at the same time.
CrossFit Hanover is going to host LuLaPalooza, an in-person shopping even similar to Tupperware parties. Instead of Tupperware, attendees will shop for clothing produced by LuLaRoe, a direct sales clothing line that is usually sold over social media.
The event is being organized by Sheron Smith, from CrossFit Hanover, and Valerie Peli, a fashion consultant with LuLaRoe. Although LuLaRoe consultants typically work independently, a group of 11 of them will be participating in the event. Since each consultant offers different inventory, LuLaPalooza will give local fans of the brand a chance to browse a fuller selection of products. During events such as this, consultants can distribute custom Business Cards so that new customers know how to get in touch with them for future orders.
The event is also functioning as a fundraiser for charity. A portion of sales during LuLaPalooza will go to Relay for Life, which works to raise money for cancer research and to generate awareness about cancer.
The event will take place on August 20. In addition to the in-person event from 1:00 until 3:00 pm, Smith and Peli decided to add an online only component for people who are interested in buying LuLaRoe clothing, but unable to make it in person.
