As part of a tradition that's been going on for 40 years, The Olde York Street Fair is scheduled to take place on Mother's Day, in downtown York, near Hanover.
The organizers of the fair expect around 75,000 people to turn up for it. The day will feature live music, food, craft vendors, and activities for the kids. In honor of its 40th anniversary, the fair has grown considerably this year.
Last year's fair had around 80 vendors selling a range of crafts, scarves, and jewelry. This year, more than 100 vendors are expected to set up shop in Continental Square, in the downtown area. When promoting the fair with postcard printing and other services, the organizers can highlight some of the more popular vendors and features, such as Richard Aldorasi, who sells silk scarves that people can decorate and color at the booth, allowing them to take home a one-of-a-kind gift.
Other highlights of the fair include the chance for people to say "hi" to their mothers on White Rose Community Television. The station will broadcast the event live. Another highlight is the opportunity for people to have their portraits taken by Tyler Brown Photography. During the photo session, people can hold Signs that read ‘Happy Mother's Day’.
Taking place this Sunday, May 10, the fair starts at 12:30 pm and goes until 6:00 pm. Parking is available free of charge on the streets, or for a small fee at neighboring garages.Get a Free Quote for Signs
