Art festival spreads positive vibes in Hanover

Hanover residents looking for a warm and welcoming setting to indulge in art and better weather will welcome the art festival being organized in town.

The Folk and Flower Chalk Art Festival, organized by Main Street Hanover, will open its doors to art enthusiasts, visitors, and other interested parties to create uplifting pieces of art for the city’s sidewalks. The event is open to interested parties of all ages, and the organizers have set a goal to fill the sidewalks with bright and positive imagery to welcome in the summer months.

The festival acts as a celebration of community, nature, and art, and artists will use the event to transform the downtown area of Hanover into a performance space and outdoor gallery. Poster printing is a colorful and captivating way to promote such events and provide interested parties with more information.

Visitors will watch chalk artists add color to town, while plein air artists capture the streets and atmosphere. Local bands, including the Steel String Storytellers and Leister Quartet, will provide the soundtrack to the arts festival. In the event of inclement weather, the festival will be rescheduled.

The festival will be held in downtown Hanover on Saturday, May 10th, starting at 11:00 AM and ending at 2:00 PM. Registration as an artist is open online for $7 per person.
